De-a lungul timpului diverse școli de psihoterapie au adoptat aceste reguli, menținând ideea de bază a unui set clar de principii care să faciliteze procesul terapeutic și să creeze un “mediu sigur” pentru pacient. 🏛️📜📅⏰💶🤝𝐂𝐚𝐝𝐫𝐮𝐥 𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐩𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐢 𝐢̂𝐧𝐜𝐚̆𝐥𝐜𝐚𝐭? What are we doing? * see you, get to know each other * we have 5 minutes to choose from the Seneca library the psychology books that attract us * we open them at random and read from them * we do exercises starting from the situations described * we share experiences * who will want, will read the book he likes until next time Next time we start with stories about the books we read and choose new ones. And so on. Meet a Book - Meet new People :) Admission: free For Seneca: 12 lei / hour, which includes free access to their kitchen where you can serve tea, coffee, lemonade, pretzels and biscuits. We need new perspectives, new information, new experiences for our daily lives to be better: to process past events more easily, to cope better with present ones and to make better plans and strategies for the future. . I ask a friend ... because the situations we are looking for an answer to will be ANONYMOUS. We want to avoid the phenomenon that happens most often in groups of this kind when someone has the courage to expose a personal problem and others tend to give advice (perhaps unsolicited) with more or less gentleness. So: * see you, have a tea, get to know each other * write on the tickets things we want to know more about, put them in a bowl * extract a situation and talk about it * if more is needed details, the one who wrote can complete, but he will tell us that he asks for a friend ... :) and we will know how to come up with suggestions for him :) Your investment: 30 lei and 12 lei / hour for Seneca Anticafe who includes access to their kitchen where you can find tea, coffee, biscuits, pretzels, fruit and lemonade. Moderator: Georgiana Codrescu, personal development advisor - https://landofoz.ro/despre-mine/ Registration: gia@landofoz.ro or SMS at 0727 235 888 We look forward to seeing you!

"The Unknown" is a special exhibition of the artist Maria Bălan in partnership with Samusocial Din Romania, Seneca AntiCafe and the Creionetica agency, an initiative to raise awareness of the needs of homeless adults in Romania and Bucharest. Between March 7 and 20, the artist exhibits at Seneca Anticafe paintings and graphic works that focus on homeless people: “My project The Unknown was born more than ten years ago, when I was still a student of architecture. That was the first time I really realized the existence of these people, the problems they faced and the fact that in Bucharest they exist in a very large number. Until then, I didn't seem to notice them, they were somehow part of the Bucharest landscape. During my studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts, I started documenting photography and reading several specialized articles. I gathered a series of images and decided to put them on the canvas, to tell the story of the homeless adults in the images. I am still very impressed by their portraits, the expressiveness of their features and the total abandonment of their own image. That's why I decided to paint the sleeping ones. Sleep is something intimate and puts us in an extremely vulnerable position towards those around us. I wanted to illustrate their renunciation of their own image and self. If initially the paintings were closely related to the photos, I gradually moved away from reality, trying to capture the essence of the situation, the experience behind the image. The project had several names, the People of the City, the Invisibles, to become the Unknown, and materialized through a series of twelve paintings and several graphic works. It is the only painting project I have done so far and I wanted to finish it by offering something back. That's how I decided, through the Creionetica agency, to donate half of the money from the works to Samusocial from Romania. ” The opening of the exhibition is on Saturday, March 7, starting at 16:00. The exhibition with donation can be visited until March 20 inclusive, and admission is free. About the partners: The artist Maria Bălan has a special energy through her creations and is a multidisciplinary artist, with a passion for experiments with the engraving technique. He also studied Graphic Arts at the National University of Arts in Bucharest and is also a non-practicing architect. Maria's heart beats a lot for everything that urban space means and she has a lot of interesting street art projects. At the same time, the main things that inspire her are nature and the environment. Her portfolio also contains book illustration, digital art, concept art, animation and poster design, with socio-political works displayed within the Răcnet 5.0 project, organized by Graphic Front. Maria won the Prize of the International Biennial of Poster and Book Illustration of Young Artists in Timișoara in 2013. The artist's passion for interacting with art lovers was manifested through linocut workshops for children and adults. As part of the Rampa One @ Plant Village collective initiative, together with John Dot S and Robert Obert, her workshop colleagues, the artist opened her workshop to visits and the process behind her works. With the group exhibition Un-hidden Bucharest, she was also part of Romanian Design Week 2019. Recently, Maria completed a project where art and technology intersected: ANOMALICA with One Night Gallery. The show was built around her latest project, Anomalica, a series of creatures that come to life in her book made in a special edition for this event. The 13 characters presented in the book are the result of several months of hard work, using the special technique of linocut, very difficult to transpose. The event combined the exhibition with a book launch, presented to the public through augmented reality and video mapping. The exhibition was staged using frame-by-frame animation made by Reniform, with a sound design signed by Novac's Brazda and transposed by Les Atel

The Way of the Dog" and "Bucharest, the great hope") Please confirm your participation at contact@senecanticafe.ro. In the 2000s, interest in short prose increased, also because in the West this type of prose became very popular, especially flash fiction (thanks to the Internet age). Writers like Răzvan Petrescu, Florin Lăzărescu, Dan Lungu, Lucian Dan Teodorovici, Radu Pavel Gheo, Sorin Stoica, Ruxandra Cesereanu or Radu Niciporuc did not hesitate to write short prose, each in its own characteristic style. Magazines specializing in short prose, creative writing workshops, etc. have appeared. And here that, since 2017, the online magazine Literomania has also contributed to the visibility of this literary genre, especially in its form of flash fiction (stories containing no more than 1,000 words). We hope that the authors published in the Flash fiction short story Literomania anthology will convince you, through their prose, that literature is just as strong and in its concentrated form.

• What is shamanism for modern man? • What is the role of a shaman in the community? • Do shamanic practices have a therapeutic role? • What is the connection between shamanism and psychotherapy? • What are the working tools of the shaman in the Nordic tradition? Here are questions to which we will certainly offer a wide range of answers with the support of the specialists invited to the event. A special presence at this event is Anja Normann, from Sweden, a shaman in the Nordic tradition. The cosmological landscape of Norse mythology with the 3 levels of existence, the practices of changing states of consciousness, the spiritual journey in search of Wisdom, female figures with their special significance related to time, nature cycles and the power to make prophecies are defining elements. the saga of the peoples of the north and the story of Óðinn, the god-seeker, the one who fought to obtain Knowledge through Transformation. We can no longer afford to live our lives as if we were in a bubble, isolated from everyone else. Everything we do, everything we feel and think affects any other form of life. Do you do "sharenting"? The phenomenon of sharenting - the juxtaposition between share and parenting - refers to the distribution, by the parent or teacher in the online environment of images, videos or stories about the child. This practice creates a 'fingerprint' for the child long before they start their own digital life or, in other cases, parallel to it, but becoming part of the child's digital identity. But how do you explain to a child what they have in common, the Fingerprint, the Profile and the Virtual Self? How do you explain all this, when he still has the impression that the city where he lives is a country, that tomorrow is today or yesterday was a few weeks ago. How do you explain to him that your friends know what he eats, what he plays with and where he was on the weekend? We meet on February 6 at Seneca Anticafe to discuss what happens with all these concepts, what happens with the phenomenon of Sharenting or the tendency of adults to expose the lives of their children online. After tracing the territory of knowledge, we invite the public to a responsible debate about our responsibility for the decision to encourage the Internet to know as much as possible about the next generation. We are talking about the measures we need to take and how it may affect children in the future with experts in the field on Thursday, February 6 from 7 pm. Free participation based on registration at contact@senecanticafe.ro You can share the event, we promise not to tell anyone!

• What are the challenges and vulnerabilities of adolescence? • Why does everyone worry primarily about teens when it comes to addictions? What makes them more vulnerable? • Who or what makes discipline with love and boundaries work for adolescents? Is it good to set and follow rules? • How do childhood trauma and relational (attachment) trauma translate into adolescent life from a mental and physical health perspective? • How to raise involved, responsible and happy teenagers? Here are questions to which, for sure, we will offer a wide range of answers with the support of the specialists invited to the event, on Thursday, December 12, 2019, at 6.30 pm at the Seneca AntiCafe Bookstore in Bucharest. The life lessons that await teenagers are lessons from which we can all learn, regardless of age. There are no perfect parents, no perfect educators, no perfect or trouble-free teenagers, and no stress-free relationships. Herald Publishing House offers you some titles, books that you can choose as a companion, that will offer you real support in the journey we make with the good people we want to raise and who we want to become. We will discuss the titles "The Whirlwind of the Mind", by Daniel Siegel, "We Grow Together", by Naomi Aldort, "A Life Without Drugs", by Aletha Solter and "It's a Boy", by Michael Thompson, titles published in the Parentaj collection of the publishing house Herald. We will have with us, as guests, Dr. Cristian Andrei (doctor, psychotherapist), Sorina Petrică (psychologist, psychotherapist), Sabina Strugariu (psychologist, integrative psychotherapist), Gabriela Deniz (senior editor Herald, psychotherapist). The event will be moderated by Sorin Lucaci (PR Herald Publishing House). Specialists are invited to share with the public some practical guidelines from current psychological and educational theories that can help us have a better understanding, full of empathy and compassion for adolescents and their problems, better communication and harmonious dynamics in the adolescent relationship. - Father. We will discuss fears, traumas, vulnerabilities and revolt, addictions and challenges, connection and empathy and how we can consciously improve the emotional lives of adolescents. Seneca Publishing House, the first green publishing house in Romania, launches on Thursday, November 14, the book "Nobody is too small to make a difference", a selection of the most important speeches given by Greta Thunberg in the last two years. The 16-year-old initiator of the 16-year-old climate school strikes in Sweden has become the voice of a generation calling on politicians to stop ignoring the climate crisis and take action. Seneca Publishing House brings to Romania her book, which has already been translated in several countries around the world, and is working on editing the book "Scenes from the Heart", authored by Malena Ernman, Greta's mother. Greta Thunberg made us all aware when she sat with a sign on the steps of the Swedish Parliament on a Friday, more than 60 weeks ago. She announced that she refuses to go to school to study scientific data that, in reality, is ignored by politicians. She declared a school strike for the climate and millions of young people followed her. Since then, Friday's strikes have turned into Fridays for Future, massive climate protests, and Greta has been named one of the 100 most influential people of our time by Time and was nominated for a Nobel. The book "Nobody is too small to make a difference" was translated into Romanian by Felicia Ienculescu-Popovici, founder of Greenitiative, and is prefaced by Roxana Bojariu, climatologist, member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change which prepares annual reports on climate. "No one is too small to make a difference" is accompanied by postcards drawn by artist Dan Perjovschi. The book will be launched in the presence of the artist and young Romanian climate protesters who participate in the actions of Fridays for Future Romania and Climate Strike Romania.

The latest transhumance film by Dragoș Lumpan Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbdnkDyruiw Admission is free. There is the possibility of access to the Seneca Anticafe buffet based on book registration, standard rate (10 lei / hour - students and pupils, 12 lei / hour - non-students). The last draft, before the official launch. The documentary lasts 93 minutes. The dialogues are in 6 languages; the film has Romanian subtitles even for the moments spoken in Romanian - it can also be watched by people with hearing impairments. “In 2007 I started watching a family of shepherds from Romania. For generations, their family had been on the road. In 2008 they told me that he was giving up the road, transhumance. In this way they gave the title of the project: «The last transhumance». In 2010 we expanded the project: we followed in the footsteps of transhumance in Albania, Greece, Turkey, Romania, Italy and the United Kingdom. For Romania I had to find a new family: the Dănuleț family; in a few years their son "arrived" Ghita the shepherd. In these 12 years I went with the shepherds from 6 countries and I gathered a lot of material: over 150 hours of filming, 200 hours of audio recordings and 100,000 photos. material, now, we have reached the last draft of the film - a very close version of the final one.We have chosen to design this draft for several reasons: one of them is the feedback of the public; We have prepared a list of questions - you will find it in the hall. it has never been designed anywhere. " - Dragoș Lumpan Cultural project co-financed by the National Cultural Fund Administration. The project does not necessarily represent the position of the National Cultural Fund Administration. AFCN is not responsible for the content of the project or how the project results can be used. These are entirely the responsibility of the beneficiary of the funding. For this version of the film the subtitles are only in Romanian, because the screenings of this draft take place only in Romania. There are six different languages spoken in the film. For the final version there will be English subtitles.

Pain is not a planned thing. And the book The Magic Box was not part of Seneca Publishing House's strategy either. But because the responsibility for our own life and the environment is at the heart of our philosophy, we chose to edit the book by doctor Giuseppe Petralia. Through his mission, he is in a constant race with cancer. He believes that for any person "it is better to prevent than to treat." The Diffusion Whole Body (DWB) resonance materialized from the idea of a Japanese doctor who thought that a complete image of the human body would help identify tumors. The technique has grown and received international standards in 2017. It has already changed patients' lives, and their testimonies are included in this book. The technique is revolutionary and ensures the most important thing - the early detection of tumors at the smallest size, even at a level undetectable by MRI. Compared to MRI, this technique is not radioactive. More and more doctors have started using this technique, but in Romania it is still a little known thing. About the author: Giuseppe Petralia, a doctor of medicine, specialized in diagnostic radiology after a research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Since 2005, he has been working at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan, where he introduced DWB as a medical investigation tool. The Magic Box is prefaced by the urologist Deliu-Victor Matei, a promoter of robotic surgery in Romania. He works in Milan, but spends his weekends in Romania, where he has constant interventions to help Romanian patients. Member of the European Oncological Institute. The two doctors will meet with the general public on Saturday, September 21, at 6.30 pm, at Seneca AntiCafe, in Bucharest. Free entry, confirm your presence at alexandra.teleuca@asociatiasnk.ro

In the middle of the summer holidays, we offer you a discussion about Bullying. Because 1 in 4 children is repeatedly humiliated at school in front of their peers and 7 out of 10 children have witnessed a bullying situation in the school environment, according to Save the Children Romania. Because, under these conditions, it can be difficult to go back to school. And because there are things we can do to combat this type of harassment, regardless of who initiates it. Who is it for? Maybe you have been bullied in the past, you are a parent, or you know someone who is affected and you would like to better understand and help them. Maybe you were really a bully and you want to better understand your behavior. Or you simply empathize with the victims of this widespread phenomenon. What will we do? Workshop: how greenwashed are you? What is the workshop about? Greenwashing is a tactic by which polluting companies try to wash their image. How? Either by marketing more sustainable products or services, or by carrying out various so-called ecological activities. These actions distract from the negative impact on the environment that the main activity has. In addition, they give customers the impression that the company is sustainable. Why come to the workshop? Come to the workshop to find out how companies manipulate you and how you can protect yourself. We will analyze cases of greenwashing in Romania, then we will identify together tactics and actions that we will implement. For that, we need help. Find out in the following posts what you need to do and what you can earn if you choose to co-create the workshop with us. Why register now? The number of places is limited to 30. The National Museum of History of Romania, in collaboration with Seneca Publishing House and the Society of Classical Studies in Romania, announces the opening of the Epictet exhibition. Pages: words and pictures. Through the visit, which brings together an interesting edition of the Handbook of the Epictetus (Vienna, 1799), translated from ancient Greek into Neo-Greek by the Greek-speaking scholar Dimitrios N. Darvaris (1757-1823), and the graphic expression reached by two contemporary artists, Anastasia Dumitrescu and Iulia Costache, illustrating the two volumes of the same philosopher published in new translations at Seneca Publishing House, Manualul (2015, translator Ioana Costa) and Diatribele (2018, translator Andreea Ștefan), brings to the public's attention an author who marked the thought European morality. The moment of encounter with the text takes place mediated, through interpretations, but also through eloquently contemporary images of artists. The austere presence of epigraphs and ancient statues in the Lapidarium Hall, which houses the exhibition, subtly reminds the visitor of the text's long past. The public thus goes through, symbolically, the process by which the reader has mastered over time the text, always transcribed, translated, "embodied" from one edition to another. The exhibition will be open at MNIR between May 8 and May 26, 2019, and can be visited from Wednesday to Sunday, between 10:00 and 18:00.
