FREE ENTRY! The volunteer group Wikimedians of Romania and Moldova is pleased to invite you to participate in the workshop we are organizing on April 5, 2026, between 2 and 6 pm, at Seneca Anticafe in Bucharest.
The event is part of the campaign dedicated to International Roma Day 2026, carried out on Wikimedia platforms in Romanian: Wikipedia: International Roma Day 2026, https://w.wiki/H$kq , as well as at the international level, as part of the International Roma Day Edit-a-thon 2026 initiative.
This initiative marks International Roma Day (April 8), an internationally recognized day for celebrating the culture, history and contributions of the Roma, but also for raising awareness of the challenges these communities face.
As part of the campaign, we aim to improve and expand the content about Roma and Romani culture on Wikipedia, through editing workshops, training activities, and collaborations with relevant organizations.
The workshop will bring together volunteers, Wikipedia editors, and institutional partners interested in:
increasing the visibility of knowledge about Roma communities;
development of free educational resources;
combating stereotypes through verified and accessible information.
