FREE ENTRY, BY RESERVATION. We invite you to Seneca Anticafe on December 20, between 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM for a meeting with author Carmen Tiderle. We offer a public reading of Lomarul Homer, her latest book, as well as a poetry workshop for children. Modern fables, meaningful and meaningless poems about everything from traveling noses to lobster writers, crazy wordplay, unusual rhymes and a lot of humor, that's what you'll find in Lomarul Homer, Carmen Tiderle's 10th book of poems. You can't get bored because each page brings something new and unexpected and it won't take long for the child in you to start writing verses too. Or to color the cool-minimalist illustrations by David Petridean. Carmen Tiderle, you know, writes playful poems for children of all ages and puts on a show when she reads them. Think of any word and, in Carmen's books (10 in total), you will find at least one verse with/about it. Yes, she also has poems with astronaut cows! Her favorite color is summer and her favorite animal is the blue polka dot. She has bangs, temporary tattoos, and believes that if people would look into the minds of children (and trees) more often, the world would be a better place. Homer the Lobster, by Carmen Tiderle, with illustrations by David Petridean (Cartex, 2024).
